Before I started my business, I had the dream of someday starting a consulting company of my own.. but I had NO idea how to correctly legally form a business. I had no clue which legal entity I should choose, I had no idea what taxes I was not responsible for paying, I had no idea who I needed to collect sales tax from and how to pay the state(s), I didn’t know if I needed to file quarterly or yearly…and I was so scared of screwing it all up and making a legal mistake that would cost me.
I spent countless months trying to learn what I didn’t know to get my business legal with my state and was scared every step of the way that I was doing it wrong, or choosing wrong options.
